His Majesty's Government

His Majesty's Government is the central government of the United Kingdom of Ima and Eastern Mae. The Government is led by the Prime Minister, who appoints the Ministers with the consent of the Reigning Monarch and the legislative. They form the Cabinet which is the supreme decision-making committee.

Under the United Kingdom's Constitution, executive authority resides within the monarch. However, this authority is only exercised with or by the advice of the Prime Minister and the most senior members of the Cabinet who form the Grand Council.

The Cabinet Ministers are usually members of Parliament, from either the House of Spirits, the House of Peers or the Common House. The Government is dependent upon the Parliament to make legislation, mainly due to fusion of powers.

The current Prime Minister is Jack Hunt, head of the Liberal Party, who was appointed by King William II on May 20 2009 following the general elections on May 10 2009. It was the first hung parliament in over 85 years and as a result, a coalition government was formed on May 21 2009 between the Liberal Party and the Democratic Unionists.
