The president's advisor Tomley Daion has openly criticized and opposed the government's plans to supply the newest Triptych member Dcah with military equipment, vehicles and weapons as part of the Restructure and Defence Initiative. He went on to tell the senior government staff "You should not be focusing on why I am opposed, you should be looking at why we are giving weapons to a clearly unstable nation led by a tyrant!"
R.D.I was started by the Triptych earlier this year in attempts to strenghten the dominant power in Dcah led by Colonel Akwete, by sending vehicles, weapons, medical supplies and funding in exchange for (presumably) resources. President Delais had recently announced plans to help assist in the initiative by sending Ferrozan surplus, a move Mr Daion is heavily against as is 66% of the public.
"All you need to do is look at Dcah itself. Reports of food and medicine shortages, refugees pouring out the country whenever they can and those that can't are ruthlessly executed. We cannot support the R.D.I...it isn't moral, nor ethical! And despite how much they say they'll investigate the situation they won't."
Mr Daion went on to announce he would resign should the president continue with the plan. The president has yet to make a comment.

Political relations between Ferroza and the Triptych homeland of Enpolintoc continue to deteriorate after the president firmly refused to sign an agreement which would send 70% of what little petroleum resources the country has left to Enpolintoc, which is said to be suffering a fuel crisis. Despite being a notable green nation, Enpolian transport (i.e automobiles, aircraft and ships) rely on fossil fuels to operate. The few spots in Enpolintoc that have been extracting these fuels for over 80 years are said to be running critically low, and fuel prices have risen drastically.
With the majority of the land either protected or scarce of these sources the Triptych have resorted to attempting to extract them from Ferroza freely, allegedly in exchange for continued peace. In a surprising move however, President Delais rejected the offer. He later gave a speech to the press on the 23rd of December.
"As president of this nation and as the representitive to the Triptych, I have made many past agreements which have angered many of you, and to an extent even myself on occassion. I saw no choice but to cooperate, to ensure the support we needed would continue so to prevent our nation regressing back to civil war. Recently though I have seen just how mistaken I have been. Ferroza needed their support at first it is true, however with what little resources we have of our own we can begin supporting ourselves. The top military and civilian heads of this country are in full agreement of my actions."
Former presidential advisor Tomley Daion has disagreed with the president's decision and has resigned, emmigrating to Kingsley Bedford. He stated shortly before leaving "The president has begun biting the hand of those who have been keeping us afloat for the past year, helping us rebuild and grow and subsequently have the power to cause us great harm. I will not be part of such foolishness."
Fears of war have risen since the Delais refusals began on the 2nd of October this year, when President Delais refused to sign an agreement to allow military bases belonging to the Triptych to be built in Ferroza. Analysts predict that war could break out in the next few days, citing the severity of the Enpolian fuel crisis and the recent Dcah invasion by Enpolian forces.
Relating to the Enpolian fuel crisis, the Cesarica ordered the Enpolian military into action, sending large numbers of troops into Dcah on the 16th of December. Given the inferior weaponry, equipment and training of Colonel Akwete's forces it is estimated that the Enpolian military will achieve complete control in a matter of days.
Dcah had become a Triptych territory earlier this year and had been left under the control of Colonel Akwete, a controversial figure who is often cited as a warlord. Unlike Ferroza, Dcah does not have an official government, and is officially a failed nation. The Cesarica herself ordered the complete occupation of Dcah, which still possesses large deposits of oil, petroleum and gas. This marks the biggest Enpolian military operation since the Isla del Monstruo incident in 1979. It is also the first time in over 130 years since Enpolintoc was considered the aggressor nation. An official arrest warrent has been issued for all prominent Dcah militant leaders, including Akwete herself who is rumoured to have fled and defected to a foreign country.

"Good morning and good evening, people of the world. We have entered another year, yet not unscathed from the last. For the last month, there have been fears of a military conflict between my homeland of Enpolintoc and our allies in Ferroza. As a sort of New Year's Resolution I am happy to tell you all no such conflict shall ever occur, as we speak diplomats from both our countries are discussing better ways to handle the future. Rest assured, war shall never stain our nation, and right now top researchers are finding ways to solve our fuel crisis.
Now with that said, I bring your attention to another subject. Myself. The upcoming June of this year, specifically the 19th will mark three years in which I have been your Cesarica, and three years that our Triptych has been holding together our great collective. By the time that happens I hope to be able to look back and see I have helped to forge a better future, and one of those measures that shall help achieve that is, in effect this very moment, the Equal Rights for Non-Humans Act. Some of you, particularly those from outside Enpolintoc and indeed the Triptych itself may be wondering why I have passed such an act.
First of all, it is not a direct response to the phenomenon commonly dubbed ponyism, a subject I have received many questions on, and before I continue to explain ERNA, it would help you all to better understand my decision by educating you on the subject. Ponyism is a term used to refer mass acceptance and integration of sapient creatures that are very similar to the breeds we have known for hundreds of years. Creatures that can talk, can think and feel emotion the same as we do. The once notorious Republic of Lanos has become a large embracer of ponyism, President Marina herself having even adopted one. With that said she is better educated on the subject than I. But I digress.
These creatures are not the only non-human sapients in our region. In Enpolintoc there too are non-humans living alongside us. Or at least in the same country we do. The Ferhsmati look near identical to us, talk like us, feel pain and happiness the same as we do. Yet for hundreds of years our society has rejected them, looked down apon them and even in some cases outright attacked and murdered them, going back to the days of the Gemalaysian regime and perhaps even before then. All for what? Hatred, superstition, lies. For hundreds of years these people have been living in seclusion, in our vast jungles and abandoned tunnel systems. Only a select few have openly revealed themselves. Well with this act, I said enough is enough. No more shall the Ferhsmati or any other non-human have to live in seclusion and fear. As far as the law is now concerned, they are human as well and thus shall be treated as such.
2011 has seen it's shares of ups and downs, and I hope that this new year shall bring us great prosperity and happiness. Happy New Year everyone."

- Cesarica Attending Second Summit
The Kingfordian-Lanosian summit originally hosted in Enpolintoc has been relocated to Kingsley Bedford after reaching some success in the talks. The Cesarica and the Triptych foreign minister are both confirmed as in attendance of this second summit. Though no official comments have yet been made, Her Grace's presence is speculated as a neutral peacekeeping one.
The summits have drawn some criticism from some groups, who claim that whilst the talks are intended to grant equestrian sapients equal rights, it only appears to address the controversial Kingfordian customs law which currently holds animals in detention for 48 hours as part of a screening procedure. Other groups such as the Enpolian First group believe Enpolintoc should pull out from the summit and stay completely neutral. The Equal Rights for All Sapients organisation have expressed concern over the expections and demands on the equestrian called Lily, who despite being only approximately five months old is expected to speak to the Kingfordian parliament. A suspected inside source gave us this statement.
"Lily, as she is called, is a very young child, with limited if any true understanding of the political situation here. Couple that with her poor grasp of the English language and the questionable state of her mother so to speak and you have something akin to a comedy sketch. It is absurd. Why is the Triptych getting involved in such nonsense? We have a collapsed nation we are currently trying to rebuild, we have Romburyan that we're trying to repair and keep afloat, we have rising organised crime and corruption. Yet a talking pony and whether or not it's an animal is what our government has chosen to become so focused on? We really care that much about whether some animal has to wait a bit to enter a country it probably won't visit that often if at all? The Triptych needs to get it's priorities straight and frankly, so does Yuliana's government and Marina's."
The source refused to give any details regarding their identity, choosing to remain anonymous. Comments made by Chief of Security Kisha Antellev during the first summit and reported by the Lanosian media are said to be "grossly exaggerated and taken out of context" by Triptych Public Relations minister Gerald Krowley, adding that her comments were not as "confrontational" as portrayed. - Designer Drug Spreads
The production of the designer drug Mojoy, a portmanteau of "moment of joy" has risen over the past 5 weeks at an alarming rate according to police reports. The drug had been invented as a way to bypass current drugs legislation and is technically legal under law in most countries. Akin to ecstacy mixed with cocaine, the tell-tale blue vials are increasingly becoming a common sight in city streets. The Sansareti syndicate, believed to be the inventors and manufacturers of the drug are said to be rising in the underworld and that turf wars between them and the Lebedyenkos are likely in the future.
Governor of Interior Dannys Ceyer released this statement.
"In our history, we have always managed to keep the illicit drugs trade and organised crime down on a low level. Over the past years, we have begun to fail in this mission. Groups such as the Lebedyenkos and the Sansareti continue to gain power, the latter even operating in the open in some areas. This new drug, Mojoy needs to be tackled right here, right now. I promise you all, the people of Enpolintoc and even the people of our allies, I will strive and work with others who will do the same, in order to curb this new threat to society."
Though wide spread throughout Enpolintoc's major cities, authorities believe the Sansareti are only beginning to export the drug to foreign countries such as the Republic of Lanos and Kingsley Bedford. Enpolian law enforcement and customs plan to co-operate with their KB/ROL counterparts in efforts to tackle the Mojoy problem.

- Prominent Lebedyenko Hospitalized
Known businessesman and suspected former leader of the Lebedyenko crime family Delan Lebedyenko is currently being treated in hospital after being shot outside his casino the Glowing Diamond early this morning in Romburyan. Witnesses claim to have seen a dark blue vehicle speeding away after the shots were fired. Mr Lebedyenko is currently in critical condition and tensions are rising over the possible aspect of a resulting gang war.
The main suspects are the Ferhsmati crime syndicate the Sansareti, who have notably been rising steadily to power recently thanks to the new drug Mojoy. If the attack was indeed commited by Sansareti members it could indicate a move into Monelene, where the Lebedyenko's hold the most power following the destruction of the Mondekov family several years ago.
Though unable to personally comment herself, a member of the Cesarica's commitee told the Celtel Source [i]"The Cesarica is doing her best to combat the rising threat of organized crime, and may be putting forth the issue to her allies for assistance. Understandably the rising concern of corruption is hindering this process, however the lack of support will hinder it further."

- Triptych Denies Endorsement
Governor of Interior Dannys Ceyer has spoken out against the Kingfordian News Agency broadcast which classes the anonymous source reported before as endorsed by the Triptych. The source, which is still yet to be identified criticises both the summit and the nations involved including the Triptych. Ceyer gave a statement early today.
"I am disappointed that President Pashkchenko appears to feel this source is endorsed by the Triptych. We have been working as a neutral party, we have been striving to help the Republic of Lanos and the Kingfordians better understand each other to promise a peaceful future for everyone. The Triptych does NOT endorse the statement made, which also criticises us as well. People will always disagree on something, it's just human nature. If anything, this reaction by the Kingfordian President is far more damaging than the source itself, and I hope she realises we have nothing to do with it and will not let it affect her standing with the Cesarica."
Though the source is yet to be identified, Ceyer further revealed to the Celtel Source she would be opening a full investigation of the comments.

- Gang Situation Worsens
Earlier this evening Sansareti negotiator Heizov Roremo was found dead in a warehouse along Monelene docks. A well-respected member, Mr Roremo had been reported as missing two days after the shooting of Mr Lebedyenko. Police have released information that suggests Roremo had been tortured for nearly a week before succumbing to his injuries, being found hanging two days later.
Following last Thursday's attack on businessman Delan Lebedyenko and this latest murder of Roremo, police are concerned that these events mark the beginning of a war between the two syndicates. As the murder of a negotiator is seen as a deadly insult, it is unlikely the Sansareti will attempt to take a diplomatic approach. Authorities speculate affected areas will include Monelene, Sirenia, Romburyan and possibly areas in or around Kingsley Bedford. The Triptych is said to be cooperating with the Kingfordian Intelligence Agency.

- Secret Facility Rumours False, Says Triptych
The Triptych have responded to numerous claims of top secret facilities being or having been built in and around Enpolintoc as well as in it's international territories. Hidden military bases, research facilities and even a self-contained oasis have been suggested as Triptych projects. However despite the rumours the Triptych have claimed they hold little basis in fact.
"All governments have locations that are kept discreet from the general public, but the level of suspicion these people are holding is just ridiculous. The Triptych has other things to concentrate the tax payer's money on, not secret underground domes or space stations." said a Triptych spokemans.
One such facility, allegedly built within the abandoned lands of Cardania, has been denied by officials.

- Guardian Platform Project Initialised
An ambitious space project has been greenlighted by the Cesarica today. In an early press conference, Her Grace announced the project which is intended to become one of the largest in recent history.
"We have stood as a strong nation for many years, confident in the knowledge that our lands are safe, our skies are save and our seas are safe. Yet we have allowed ourselves to forget about the one thing mankind has obsessed over since the beginning. While we sit back, other countries take advantage of the potentials of outer space, creating objects such as weapons platforms. The Guardian project thus shall grant us complete safety from such threats and secure our own dominance. No longer shall we need to fear the toys of other nations."
The Guardian project will be Enpolintoc's first ever constructed space station, allegedly planned to hold a crew the size of a small aircraft carrier. Though it is claimed the station would only be used for defensive purposes (it's full specifications still unknown), there are concerns the station could be used to launch deadly and fast invasions, something the Triptych denies.
The Cesarica has also apparently ordered the restructuring and re-arming of the military, though nothing of this subject has been confirmed. This potential increase in military spending has raised some concerns in the Enpolian community and will likely in the international too. - Multi-storey Carpark Becomes Graveyard
A failed meeting between Lebedyenko and Sansareti members at a multi-storey carpark in the town of Walleck has left 12 people dead. According to evidence gathered, representitives from both groups met in the secluded location in attempts to work out an agreement, in response to the shooting of Delan Lebedyenko and the murder of Sansareti negotiator Roremo. It is unclear however why exactly the meeting escalated into violence, however it has left a severe impact on the public's morale.

The government has announced the creation of the latest policing entity known as the Organised Crime Task Group, or OCTG for short. Mixing policing methods with military training, the group will be responsible for combating all elements of organised crime and will have extra policing powers and the best equipment to do so. - Prostitution Outlawed
Under new law passed by the Cesarica today, all forms of prostitution are deemed illegal and will be punishable with a fine of 500 credits, as well as up to 6 years in prison. The new act, in effect immediately, applies to all territories belonging to the Enpolian government.
